Events, not items
An event is an authored object with its own title, date, description and tags. Your collections and exports stay bibliographic.
A Zotero timeline plugin. Author research chronologies inside Zotero, where every event links to the sources that support or contradict it.
Researchers building a chronology where the sources matter as much as the dates: a literature review tracing how sources answered each other over time, a historical timeline for a thesis chapter, or a research timeline you want to defend with citations rather than just assert.
This is not a restoration of Zotero's removed Create Timeline, which plotted items by publication date. Zotero Timeline places events: authored objects with their own dates and citations.
